I don't know of Devils Delight - but would you be thinking of "Devil's Dream" - this is an old fiddle tune which is very popular in the Bluegrass scene?

FYI, Mark Hanson has a nifty arrangement of Devil's Dream -- in guitar tab and standard notation -- in his Fingerpicking Solo Style book.

I'm also looking for either ABC or the dots for The Devil's Delight which is a Dan R Macdonald tune. I already know The Devil's Dream which is a different tune.

Devil's Dream seems a variant of Deil in the Kitchen, a Scottish tune. FWIW.

Devil's Dream is listed as a reel in Ryan's Mammoth Collection. I've played it on guitar...it's there. Go to Elderly Instruments to peruse contents if you do not have the book.

"Devil's Delight. It's a reel composed by Dan R. MacDonald in Cape Breton. E flat to A major to B flat..."

I didn't see anything that looked like sheet music or TAB (which is what I think the re-opening poster wants?) but it did look like there's possibly a recording at the link in my first post.

If you find out whether Devil's Delight is a different song or a rearrangement of Devil's Dream, I hope you'll come back here and let us know?
I'm kind of curious now..

If it's a Dan R. MacDonald tune - and it seems to me Dan R. did compose a tune of that name - it's a completely and utterly different piece.

The tune is published here:

http://www.cranfordpub.com/books/HeatherHill.htm

Paul Cranford is well worth supporting.

Still looking for the notes that make up the tune so I can learn it to play for pleasure along with Trip to Windsor, and Mrs Norman Mackeegan as a set. Just thought someone might have the ABC of it.

I've checked out the Session & JC's for your title - not found.

Have you an alternative name for this tune?

Buy the book. If Dan's heirs had wanted it given away for free, the ABC would be on Paul Cranford's site (along with many other tunes where the owner of the rights doesn't mind).

Paul is doing something valuable and is worth supporting. Financially.
