From: harlowpoet

I bumped into Mcgrath of Harlow in Wetherspoons this morming and he suggested I post this request on Mudcat so here goes.

I'm doing a gig or three at the Sweeps this year.Small problem is that I slipped a disc in my back a few weeks ago and don't really want to camp at the minute if I can help it, as its still a bit painful. Rang a few guest houses in the area, but are all booked up, which is not surprising, as its a popular event.

I'm going to be there regardless, but is anyone in the area able to offer a couple of nights accomodation for the Saturday/Sunday night?

A sofa or a floor would do. This would save me having to hike a tent around.

If you can help, PM me or email harlowpoet@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks Simon

Sorry to hear the bad news Simon. Hope you get a floor.
Get well soon or you'll miss our "do" in Sussex.
Regards
Mary

Sorry Simon, Linda & I will be at the Eurogathering that weekend. Mudcatters down that way include Richard Bridge, and Pete Hicks (Slats).

That's quick, Simon. I hope you get bedded down!

Here is a link to info about Rochester Sweeps, with some photos. None of Simon though!

I gather it's a pretty good way to welcome in the May, even aside from the opportunity to hear harlowpoet in action.

- He's hoping to, as well - thinks, I wonder if Avril is still looking for a man - no, there's a lot of meat on her   :-)

Thanks for above postings everyone. I'm grateful. And cheers Richard.

I've been 'in the cat' a bit more lately due to enforced time on my hands because of the back.

Anyone want to drop in on the thread and say hello feel free.
May post a poem or two myself.

Simon

Richard

I seem to be having a technical problem with sending PM's, although I've received yours. It may be a computer problem.

I'll PM from my dads computer tomorrow, though the answers yes if that will be OK.

Dave Bryant and Mcgrath of Harlow, who are mates will both vouch for my character.

Simon

Simon it looks like you're not logged in properly as you're coming up as GUEST - is that why you're not getting your PM's??

Guru

I seem to lose the cookie when I change pages. Don't know why. I log in. It throws me out. Take's the biscuit, I suppose.

Pop up to the top of the page and click on "membership". It should say "If you are already a member, but your information does not appear below, click here" - so you do that; and then enter your name and your password, and bingo, you're logged on as a member, and can access the PMs.

"Dave Bryant and Mcgrath of Harlow, who are mates will both vouch for my character"

I should think that'll cost you a couple of pints for each of us.

Simon, I think you and Richard have met at our BBQs anyway.
