From: GUEST,Kristine Robin
Date: 18 May 04 - 06:17 PM

Dear Mudcatters,

Over the years, Mudcat has kept me company in the wee hours when sleep was fleeting. Last year many of you gave me priceless help in obtaining vital information for two songs that I was recording, "The Quiet Lands of Erin" and "Seacht nDolas na Maighdine Muire."

I have since finished the CD, "Everchanging Tides," and it has been released. As a way of saying Thank You for the help and support everyone here gives, I want to offer a completed song from my album to everyone.

So, here is a link to a page where you can play it and/or download and share it. For those of you who don't have a high-speed connection, or have problems downloading, you will find an email address where you can let me know and I'll just send it to you on a disk.

You may need to copy this and paste it in your browser…
http://www.kristinerobin.com/thankyou/mudcat/mudcat.html

Thanks again for sharing your stories and information, and especially those of you who maintain this site for all of us. The Mudcat Cafe is a fantastic place and a wonderful resource!

Sincerely,
Kristine Robin

Thank you. Hopefully, others here will say "You're welcome" as well.

Kristine, that is simply beautuful! Thank you, so much, for sharing and for letting us know. So often when someone has a question, we don't get to hear of any results. You have a lovely voice and I really like your arrangement.

Good luck with your CD,

kat

There is another more contemporary song from Kristine's CD up.

It was posted to thank another group that gave Kristine moral support during some rough times.

You can hear that song here (it is shorter and downloads faster!)

The page will look the same as the other you saw, but it is a different song!

Enjoy,

Thank you, Kristine. I have received help on a number of questions in the past as well, and have posted thanks and more importantly tried to pass it on by helping someone else, and sent a check to Max, but your choice of expression of gratitude is lovely. Why don't you join us? You are a rich addition to the 'Cat.

The link went up ten and a half years ago, with a warning that it would be temporary. to be removed after a while. As too often happens to some of us, "a while" has apparently gone by us.

This was just one of several old threads (giving thanks and otherwise showing gratitude) I revived in the face of discord and growls elsewhere on the 'Cat.

Looking for rejoicing...
