I can do the chords for you if you can post the lyrics to one of the verses for me, it's a long time since I played this and some of the words have gone..

Just to be sure it's the same song, the version I know starts 'Oh how we danced on the night we were wed....' and the chorus goes 'Dear as I held you close in my arms...'

We have discussed this song before and there is some interesting information in that thread. I found it in a Google.com search, and interestingly enough my entry to the thread was the one that came up in Google. A circular reference? :-)

I'll just go & look for my book of waltzes and copy the chords out of that. It's piano arrangements but I am sure the chords will make sense on other instruments.

From a book called Treasury of Waltzes, published by Albert Publications (in Australia, and this book would be from about late 60's).

I have to confess I haven't tried these chords, because my piano playing is still very basic, and there are too many accidentals to try these songs out on my lever harp, but, for what it is worth, here they are:

Sorry, I forgot to say that the version in my book is in the key of E minor (I think :-)   ) Starts on B (below middle C).
