Subject: RE: Marlborough Club, Hull, 3rd June From: s6k Date: 25 May 04 - 12:04 PM good good. i forgot to mention, ill be there if im not doing nowt. i have a busy schedule ahead of me, with a knitting order that needs to be completed, some antique cutlery deliveries, a visit to the taxidermist, and also i have to buy some plastic spoons. but i might find a way round it. |
Subject: RE: Marlborough Club, Hull, 3rd June From: Les from Hull Date: 25 May 04 - 05:33 PM I'm sorry to hear about your forthcoming visit to the taxidermist - are you coming unstuffed? I actually took several plastc forks to the last one, but there were only four of us, so the curry ship remained unboarded. I might come if I'm doing nowt, but, regretfully, I'm still not famous. |

Subject: RE: Marlborough Club, Hull, 3rd June From: s6k Date: 03 Jun 04 - 07:35 AM Ok, for the people that dont know where they are going LoL, here is a blue clicky for you, and it will take you to a map of the area with a big yellow arrow pointing at Marlborough Club location. (Dont ask me why the marlborough club is not on marlborough avenue though!!!) CLICK HERE and you can zoom out with the map etc. the club is at the cemetery end of chants ave and if you come onto it from Cottingham Road, you will see on your right after a little while a sports club and field and a squash club on your left. well carry on to the roundabout, keep going down chants, and then at the top will be a cemetery on your right AND left. when youve arrived here just look at the streets on the left hand side and youll find newstead street. (its not quite as far as the cemetery by the way but you can use that as a marker) if youre still baffled then i have failed so ring jOhn or something! |

Subject: RE: Marlborough Club, Hull, 3rd June From: el ted Date: 04 Jun 04 - 04:37 AM Adam, We caught dysentry, swine versicular disease and rickets in Farlington so we were in no fit state to come. That and not going to bed until 4am saw us off really! |
Subject: RE: Marlborough Club, Hull, 3rd June From: ossonflags Date: 04 Jun 04 - 04:57 AM I see that marlboro club was still living up to it's reputation as being first and foremost an honest working mans club for the horny handed sons and daughters of toil who reside in the spanish quarter of 'ull. This of course includes providing bingo for above mentioned sons and daughters. Last night was a revelation for me to see two well respected musicians from the south bank of the river - alas sans instruments - chortling with glee whilst scampering around the bingo machine having invented a class of a do it yourself game. Who were they? you may well ask. |
