we had to miss the last one what with everyone being away at feativals and that, so grab your guitars, boxes, mandolins, fiddles or whatever you can lay hand to,tune the old vocal chords up and let us make this a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure whether I'll get there. My son flies back to the States on the Tuesday and he and his wife are spending Saturday and Sunday with us - so I may not be allowed out to play. I will try, though.

Pete is leaving after Thursdays gig but contrary to any rumours "Punch The Horse" continues to ride on.

Antoine is Pete's replacement and we also have the lovely Skipjack doing a bit of a job share with Andy. The very lovely and talented Nikki along with the winsome Oakley will still be performing magic on their respective instruments.Also Mr.Richard Wasling will be joining us from time to time.

Nice to see you all on Thursday but hope we will see you all many more times in the future.

Sweetfire, many, many, many years ago there was an american police programme on the steam television called "Highway Patrol" starring Broderick Crawford.

When anawering a call on the radio in his police car he always used the phrase "ten four" it was what we call now a "catch phrase" and became part of the language.Fell into disuse a number of years ago, but was adopted, as I understand, by people working in the oil industry offshore.

Sorry to gatecrash your Thread - I tried on another thread recently to find if there were any Clubs / Sessions tomorrow Thursday night ( 17th ) in/ near York. He's going to look at the digs etc. at the Uni and stopping overnight - any ideas ?
