Can anybody help me with this children's rhyme?
I know it is neither folk nor music, but perhaps you'll forgive and help me all the same... ;-)

Eve arriver, chimney sweeper
Had a wife and couldn't keep her
Billybole and biscuit baker
Ballybop ...

The bold parts are given as I heard them,
but where I do not know whether I heard correctly.
Also the end is missing, I can't remember it.

Childrens rhymes always make a big splash in the Mudcat Forum, if you try some searches in your filter you'll probably come up with a number of them. Or just sit tight, here we probably go again..........

fuzzy wuzzy wuz a bear,

fuzzy wuzzy had no hair,

fuzzy wuzzy wuzn't fuzzy wuz he.

The one I know is:

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater
Had a wife and couldn't keep her
He put her in a pumpkin shell
And there he kept her very well.

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had another, and didn't love her
Peter learned to read and spell
And then he loved her very well.

I looked in the Oxford Dictionary of Nursery Rhymes and didn't find any others like this. Too bad you can't search the book like you can the Digital Tradition.

Andreas, I remember something like that, but mostly nonsense words. "Eve-er I-ver O-ver Rue, something something I pick you". It was one of those choosing rhymes. Like "Ein, Zwei, Drei, horsengoggles."
And Frank, there is a never-ending round to that rhyme, goes,
Fuzzy-wuzzy was a bear,
Fuzzy wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy-wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, was he?
was a bear,

I found this in the Jumprope Hypertext Archive. The archive is now defunct, but I was able to find and save a text version. Wish I could find an HTML version.

There is, of course, Mother Goose. Make sure you buy the real Mother Goose, and not the politically correct version that is being peddled to unsuspecting parents these days. A kind of vegan goose, if you will, and about as satisfying.

They have also done the same with Aesop -- the little boy doesn't get eaten by the wolf in the new version, which ruins the majesty of the moral!
