One of my guitar pupils is from Iraq. I have tried to find some simple Iraqi tunes for him to play - without success. Midi files would be perfect but abc would be fine. Any ideas anyone? Zaid would be grateful for your help, and so would I.

Talk to JOhn from Hull. He has a friend who is an Iraqi Kurd and is a fantastic fiddler, but not a Mudcatter. His name is Nahro. I'm sure Nahro has many tunes in him.

I did some surfing around for "middle eastern" music quit a while back & had difficulty finding much. Seems like askjeeves for kids came up with a site or 2, but it's been a couple of years & I've slept since then. I'd also be interested in various sites which offer eastern Music.
