Well, their Website is http://www.barachois.com/. There are some nice recording samples on the site. I take it they play Acadian Celtic music with French lyrics, and that they come from Prince Edward Island Are their songs traditional?
I've crosslinked the previous threads we've had on Barachois. Apparently, they disbanded in December, 2003. This page (click) has some lyrics and MP3's.

A few of their cds had lyrics, I'll have a look later - although I'm sure there'll be another catter beats me too it. And their songs are in the main traditional - as too the tunes although a number are composed by P.E.I. musicians some of whom are still alive and well - and still playing up a storm. We visited them recently and although they haven't ruled out reforming for rare gigs it's unlikely due to other commitments.

They are all on the cd 'Barachois' MMR CD 1022 and the insert has the lyrics. If you leave an email I can scan them but there's too many to transcribe here - and they're in French & English.

You could buy the cd...

Yes, I would still be interested if anyone has the time to write out the (french) lyrics to the songs. I could buy the CD, but I've got the tape. The notes in the tape are rather non-existant and talk only of Acadian music. Thank you all so much for the help!
