Subject: World shortage of Ukulele cases/bags etc From: Nemesis Date: 13 Jul 04 - 09:07 PM We've had a Ukulele carry-case/ bag whatever on order for 7 months from the local music shop. Checking around it seems there's only one possible supplier in the UK - and that, despite the giant-mega tsunami revival of ukulele, the instrument (I use the word advisedly!) manufacturers don't make the cases. NOw! Before you start - this is for a 14-year-old Slipknot/ Alice Cooper fan, guitarist who picked up a bottle-neck for the first time this week and played the most divinely inspired slide-blues I've heard in my entire career as a club organiser... so, whatever his sources .. something's working! Any ideas to obtain said cae? |

Subject: RE: World shortage of Ukulele cases/bags etc From: jonm Date: 14 Jul 04 - 12:13 PM When I last visited the Music Room in Oxford (details via the-music-room.co.uk, I think, they were selling cr@p ukes for £20 apiece, with cases for an extra tenner. Worth buying a spare uke for a £30 case, perhaps? |
