I feel I am honor bound to toot the horn of the multi-talented and lovely Mrs. Freightdawg. A couple of months ago she was introduced to the Enchanted Mesa Show Chorus, a local chapter of the Sweet Adelines choral group. She has been practicing and practicing and practicing, and Monday night she passed her big audition, so now she is a full fledged member of the group. There are about 40-50 ladies in the large chorus, with three "Barbershop" quartets in the group. (Can ladies sing barbershop, or would it be beauty shop quartets? Anyway, I digress). The group performs in many contests and has progressed as far as regionals, and perhaps even further. (I must admit, I am not the group's historian.)

Anyway, I am just about to bust out of my collar and shake my woolly fur all over the place, and I wanted to share her accomplishment with all my 'Cat buddies.

Hey, congratulations to the new Adeline! I used to babysit for an Albuquerque woman did what your wife is doing - those women are DEDICATED! And good, too.

Congrats to Mrs. Freightdawg, indeed. I remember the sweet Adelines coming to our elementary school once, and I loved that sound. :)

My sister used to sing with them, too. Neat stuff making such great harmonies!

A big ol' congrates from this ol' hillbilly. You'd think I don't know nuthin' about that chior stuff and, well, yer right... But the P-Vine majored in voice in college, has been in many musicals and has over 30 years experience singing in church choirs... so that oughtta qualify me to congratulate the Mrs...
