Subject: Waltham Abbey to Stortfolk From: breezy Date: 20 Oct 04 - 11:51 AM Can any of you get up to the Vestry to hear Duncan Mcfarlane tomorrow? Cos its too far to come to St Albans on friday and your probably going away for half-term All the best |
Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey to Stortfolk From: Lanfranc Date: 21 Oct 04 - 02:30 AM Would love to, but have a spiral fracture of my left humerus, sustained last Friday, which makes travelling (even by car) painful, and playing guitar impossible! Half term trip to sister's place in France cancelled. Lanfranc less than his usual ebullient self. Alan |
Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey to Stortfolk From: jacqui.c Date: 21 Oct 04 - 09:49 AM Alan - sorry to hear that. How did you do that one? Hope you have a speedy recovery - I'm sure everyone will miss your performing in the meantime. |
Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey to Stortfolk From: Dreadnought Date: 21 Oct 04 - 10:26 AM Blimey - get well soon mate. I'd suggest you try to favour the other arm when you want to pick your nose for a while. |
Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey to Stortfolk From: Lanfranc Date: 21 Oct 04 - 01:43 PM Nose is all I will be able to pick for some weeks! I tripped and fell running for a train - pretty stupid, really. Bowed psaltery, 3-hole pipe and unaccompanied songs only when I feel brave enough to travel. Aim to try ukulele as well. Sessions in Herts and Essex will be quieter than usual for a while. Might subborn Eleanor to act as my accompanist, unless you fancy the job, Dreadnought? La vie est une plage, n'est-ce pas? Alan |
