When I saw Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee in the early 60s, Terry wore a suit and tie and McGhee wore a sports jacket and a shaved head. I have recently seen pictures of the pair wearing "hippie-like" clothes and wearing big "peace" pendants. McGhee sports a set of mutton chops.

Does anyone know when they made the change. It is not complete frivolity. It helps date pictures and performances on video.
