I have just returned from a holiday in Spain were I heard a fantastic
cd being played in a cafe. I asked for the name of the cd but the sleeve was missing and all I could do was copy down the info on the actual disc: NACIONES CELTAS - 100 Pipers Scotch Whiskey. The whole cd was bagpipes from various parts of the world. I asked if they would sell it but was given a 'short shift' and the cd was removed from my sweaty hands for safety reasons.(as if I would pinch it!!)
Can any mudcatters help? has anyone heard it or know where I can get it.
cheers piper42

Thanks Micca, I've been on there but nothing to be found. Shame as there are some cracking recordings on that cd. I'll keep searching, thanks again.

Who was on the CD? Was it Carlos Nunez or Hevia. Both are good Galician pipers and there is plenty of CD's around with their music on.

Shanghaiceltic, I didn't get a chance to see the cd sleeve or notes but there were recordings of pipes from around the world. Uilleann pipes, usually I can tell by listening, who the uilleann piper is but this time I couldn't but he or she was damn good. I did recognise the Battlefield band and I think the Northumbrian piper was Kathryn Tickell but after that I was beat.

Another illustrious name that could be there is Susana Seivane.

Based on your description, Piper42, I'd buy this disc myself if someone can ID it.

If you go to the bottom of the page there are 3 Naciones Celtas CDs listed and then click on the MP3 button beside each one it gives you a track list, but more important, a chance to hear extracts from individual Tracks!! even if this only eliminates thrm from your search.. Try Here
