I'm looking for the lyrics to an Enoch Kent song (from his "I'm a Workin Chap" Album) called The Favoutire Lass.

I think it begins.......


They sit by the fire in a dockside bar
A whiskey in each hand.

the chorus is

"And they marry and go as the years pass by
Some stay single and some die
And they talk about passion but never of love
And no man admits that he cries"

According to Enoch Kent's website, the title is TALES OF A FAVOURITE LASS.

I found a verse quoted here:

"...There's tales about young Margery and how some went upstairs with Kate,
And they laugh 'til the tears run down their cheeks about the widow and their drunken mate,
An' each one has a special night, he ca's the best one of his life,
And the favourite lass that he spent it with, and no man talks of his wife...."
