Subject: Jancis Harvey ... From: GUEST,K Date: 23 Nov 04 - 04:22 PM I could not believe my eyes when the Mudcat search for Jancis Harvey gave zero hits. Although evangelical, she is definitely folk. And one of the best. Simple but beautiful songs sung in a beautiful voice. Fragile like Sandy Denny. But Jancis still alive and performing. I was lucky to find her debut(?) 45 Inasmuch b/w It is written of you, from 1965 (??). Her early 1970s albums make good prices at eBay, 50 euro or 30 pounds. Apparently there are fans. Why no mention on Mudcat? There must be some who know her music. It ain't all evangelical. There's a lot of honest good folk on her albums. Nobody likes it? |
Subject: RE: Jancis Harvey ... From: GUEST,K Date: 05 Mar 05 - 08:29 AM Still her folk albums keep on selling at eBay for 30 GBP. Still no Mudcat fans? |

Subject: RE: Jancis Harvey ... From: cptsnapper Date: 25 Aug 06 - 10:17 PM I'm hoping that Jancis is going to take part in the Alex Atterson Commemoration weekend which I'm organising at the White Horse, Trowse, Norwich between 6th. & 8th. October. As soon as I get definite confirmation I'll let you know. |
