Ladies and Gntlemen, may I draw your attention to an evening of fun and merriment, at The Marlborough Club, Newstead Street, Hull HU5 3NB.
8pm, Thusday the 2nd of December 2004.
Guests include Mudcat member "Muppet", muppet is well known on the festival scene, and was recently a finalist in the Yorkshire Silly Song Competition, and currently holds the Marmite Buttie eating record.
Support act is The Harri Watts Band, [male/male duo, violin and guitar], favourites on the folk scene throughout Yorkshire, they sing songs about death and war [great fun].

Truly a night not to be missed, free entry, all welcome, [except animal rights protesters and hunt sabateurs].

Could be a council meeting there then Mr Legend!
I just emailed Simone Butterworth [she plays fiddle, and only lives a 5 minute walk from the club].

For them that don't know, Simone Butterworth is Leader of The Liberal democrats in Hull.

Can people from other counties of England come as well? What about people getting off the ferry from foreign places, should they be encouraged to attend?

Noreen, when I used the word 'People' it was meant to include women as well (and foreigners). I'm not sure what your point is and I hope you don't feel left out. Can you send a photo of yourself see we can work out what you are?

Just a quick question - with these guests, does it mean we all have to sit and watch the 'turn' - or are we supposed to join in as in all previous gatherings at the Marlborough Club? As you know, it's the participation I really enjoy.
Regards
Lawrie
