Hello here we are on the 12hr Singaround thread. As the head line suggests we are having a 12 hour Singaround at The Bull in Barton Beds on Saturday 04th Dec, as part of "The Winter Solstice Day of Song Specials" Please all come 12 noon til 12 midnight come and go as you please Ale, Food, Curry House across the road, no smoking invironment. Hi martin gona do my damd--ist to get to barton saturday couldnt get to caffiene friday as had a heavy day at work! i hear it went very well though! i generally drink one pint an hour does this mean i have to drink 12 pints?

Yes Breezy two of "The Folkaholicks" were present and we did sing. And some body wants to record us. Maybe it's to scare the birds away. Ear Maggie Holland did one of your songs Breezy "Place Called England" and she said SHE wrote it. Don't worry about last Monday dude there are always up and down days. Is Friday free for all a singers night or a name of a cool folk group? See you all on Saturday if not before. And yes Ross it does sound like a great weekend for folkies cos on Monday we are playing in West London. We are MAD for it.

Hi Martin - I saw Rachel Monday night - she is a bit worried about the arrangements for Saturday - the room is still booked

She has bar staff down from 7pm to 11pm (I think she said there was a £ 5/hour charge for that) - I don't think there will be a charge for the room - hope that's okay - no food - she seems a lot happier with you now

Good news for the Folkaholics - when's the CD on sale? - what did you think of the venue?

Oh good! Rachel never seemed off to me. You must have been there at the wrong time Ross. The venue was intresting, it seemed to be some kind of sewer net work, and it smelt like one too. But good acoustics and nice atmoss. Everthing else good, we have some people from Luton coming on Saturday. Feels like a great weekend ahead.

Maggie does her song,well, almost as good as you know who. It was June Tabor's version that brought it to a wider audience. Bet she hasnt had a 4 wheel drive vehicle actually drive past during verse 6 !!!
It happened on Padstow harbour , a got a loud cheer. The driver was suitably not amused.

There was about 25 there. It's quite a big room could hold about 60 I recken. Good PA man (boy actually) Beer how ever not so good only that super smooth umm Stuff. I was driving so I didn't care but Derrick was none to pleased. We all liked that bit about "The four wheeled drive" must have been a good moment in Padstow. I also like the bit about "Just a place to park their car" and "England so abused but not yet dead" She did a great version of "The World Turned Upside Down" as well.
