My posts keep coming up as Guest posts. CarolC says I need to reset my cookie. Exactly how do I do that?

I suppose that Ad Aware or Spybot had something to do with the disappearance of my cookie. How can I prevent that from happening again?

There are no cookies around the house right now, but a stollen is disppearing at a rapid rate. It must be the cardamom.

For about the last year I've been told I'm signed in every time I try to reset my cookie. Finally, I just gave up and stay a guest.

Art,

The problem with that is that I can't send you a personal message if you're a guest. Just want you to know that I miss seeing you and joking around with you.

Wally

I just had to reset my cookie..but once it said I had set it, I had to click the 'reload' button, as the browser was loading the cached copy until told otherwise.

Anytime you have to reset a cookie, reloading the page 'may' be required, as well as 'refreshing' Mudcat threads.

If nothing works, Art, you may have some setting that tells it not to accept ANY cookies. This can usually be overridden, allowing Mudcat to set cookies and still excluding most other sites.

If your cookies get stale, you can reset them by placing them on a cookie tray in a warm oven for a while, then allowing them to cool thoroughly before returning them to the cookie jar - this drives out the excess moisture they have absorbed.

If you go up to "Quick Links" and select "Login" from the drop-down menu, click "Go" and take it from there. It takes you to the login page.

Art, it sounds like you have a corrupt cookie. There are instructions for clearing your cache out here, in the FAQ.
