From: Leraud
Date: 18 Jan 05 - 03:26 PM

We are having a launch for our new CD 'The Moon Shines Bright', which we have recorded on the WildGoose label. The launch will be held at the Waltham Abbey Folk Club on Monday 24th January from 8:30 to 11:00p.m. and we would be delighted if some of you came along.

Pat and I will be doing a half hour spot to finish the first half and a couple of songs at the end of the evening, but apart from that there will be plenty of opportunities for singers, musicians, poets, etc. It is a regular club night at the folk club, so entrance will be £1-50. We'll be having plenty of French bread, cheese and doughnuts at half-time!

The Waltham Abbey Folk Club meets every Monday at The Royal British Legion, Brooker Street, Waltham Abbey Essex (just off J26 of the M25).

We hope you can join us.

Lynne Heraud

Wish I could come along but that's a work-night & I'm on the wrong side of London now....

Really looking forward to hearing your CD, hope you'll have one with you wherever you're pottering this year.

Good luck on the 24th, sounds like you'll have a Fab evening!!!

Pat won first prize in the Herga raffle last night, but didn't claim her TSMB CD ... it was won by the person who bought the strip of raffle tickets after mine.

There are 16 tracks - I haven't had time to play them all yet, but I just want to be like the other girls!

Kitty

It will be a good evening, with plenty of nibbles.

Lynne also mentioned there'd be some small snacks available

It doesn't show up on Wildgoose's website yet

I remember when you last appeared at Harrogate's Friday 13th folk club you sang a charming song which ended with a gamekeeper stuffing a pheasant's guts up where the moon don't shine. Is this one on the CD? I remember you saying it was an old joke turned into a song, but can't recall who you credited it to

Dear Red Max

We are coming to the Harrogate Club again on Friday 1st April, so perhaps we'll see you again.

'Erringdon Woods' is the song about the gamekeeper and it was written by Paul Roberts of the Blackspot Champions.

Our new CD will be available from our website, together with our last CD 'Parallel'.

The website is currently being regurgitated and the new website should be live by this Monday. The address at the moment http://homepage.ntlworld.com/lynne.heraud

Lynne and Pat are coming to Bedford Folk Club on the 10th Feb. Having heard them sing on a number of occasions, most recently, at the Red Lion Bassingbourn on new year's eve, I am looking forward to a great evening.

The folk club publicity department sent me this limerick, for the occasion.

The club's gonna have a good night
We hope there'll be many in sight
You'll hear Lynne and Pat
Their singing ain't flat
On Monday, the moon will shine bright

It's a bit technical, and rather difficult to explain.

Basically, there are two types of people. Those who can make blue clickys and those who can't (grin)
