Subject: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 21 Jan 05 - 02:07 PM My accordion-playing daughter Kit joined us in Barrow last week for what turned out to be an outstanding session, with great music and a perfect balance of instruments/players. She is working on more numbers, and is going to come - from York, where she lives - to the session on 25th January. It would be really nice to have plenty of people there. Who's up for it? |
Subject: RE: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 22 Jan 05 - 07:21 AM Isn't ANYONE going to come? It'll be a fairly lonely session if it's just me & Kit. |

Yes, I was rather Sierra Hotel India Tango last time - in fact my voice still is! - how does a teacher get a lost voice back? But of course your honeyed tones & Colin's plunking willmake me feel better. See ya there! And Ploughflyer, get that miserable old sod - sorry, strong, silent type - Mal to come along. I'll show him some tricks on the banjo - in my case, how to leave it at home! |

Subject: RE: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: GUEST,Codfiddler Date: 24 Jan 05 - 07:45 AM There doesn't seem to be much posting going on. Is it because you are having difficulties getting onto mudcat? If so try the following link: http://207.103.108.99/threads.cfm It is the Mudcat Back Door and will get you in, though you will be cookieless. R. |
Subject: RE: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: GUEST,sandra in sydney Date: 24 Jan 05 - 08:19 AM hooray, Codfiddler I thought I was the only one having trouble getting in - all that worked for me was the IP address you gave & there was nuffin' on help.mudcat.org to say Mudcat was down. I was in the middle of writing an email to my personal help desk asking if he had any ideas as to what I could do. Now I'll remove the last par & just leave the other problem. sandra |
Subject: RE: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: GUEST,Cod Fiddler Date: 24 Jan 05 - 09:13 AM Glad to be of assistance. It is the first time I have been helpful and I quite enjoyed it. I managed to get in normally the other day and there was a link posted on the home page explaining the problems. Apparently, it is due to nasty and pernicious adware/spyware. Those who have it and post to Mudcat are cocking things up (or being blocked). May be worth running something like Adaware or Spybot to get rid of nasties. |
Subject: RE: Barrow session 25/01 - plea from Kit From: Gedpipes Date: 24 Jan 05 - 10:43 AM Steady on Richard old son. You've got to take this encounter slowly - otherwise you'll have an accident. |

It fair warms the cocklodes of the heartsprings (Pace Prof. Stanley Unwin!) to see how many folk folk will be coming. Kit will surely thank you all personally. See yez all tomorrah. |
