Rumour has it that that nice Mr Sullivan (whom God preserve) is organising a day of song, jollity, bunting & frolic at the Jolly Brewers, South St Bishops Stortford in a months time.

a) any catters up for it?

b) I wouldn't half like a programme - if anyone's seen one!

1300 - 1500 Singaround hosted by Tony and Pear O Neill
                              
1500 - 1600 Musicians bash

1600 - 1700 Mummers Play and Clog dancing

1700 - 1900 Singaround hosted by Les sullivan and Kitty Vernon

1900 - Late Anything Goes !

Sadly I am being paid to be elsewhere so cant make it !

Yes, Howling Toad and Frogette have organised a folk day at the Jolly Brewers on 26 February. The Admiral and Mrs Admiral are running the singaround from 13.00-15.00, followed, as Leadfingers has said, by a musicians' bash from 15.00-16.00. The Mummers Play will be performed by the Beerfordbury Barrel Tappers and Wine Tipplers Association, and the clog dancing by Pegleg Unicorn.

Les and I are hosting the singaround from 17.00-19.00. After that, anything goes. All indoors, as far as I know.

Real ale and food available. I'm expecting a good Herga turnout, including Pedlar of Songs Johnny Collins and Moses.

Ben Paley was over with 'is dad at our festival in Sweden last March. Very good. I like the way Tom has kept a slight American accent whereas Ben, Well he's a real Londoner. W'iv a touch of Essex Speak.

How much snow have you got up there at the moment ? We were out in Kent last night and didn't really see any - until we got back home to find a reasonable covering in Mottingham ! It's still falling and getting deeper here.

Originally we had intended to bring our caravan up to a site at Hatfield Heath to save Linda having to drive all the way back after a few bevvies (I still can't drivr of course), but with the snow I think that's out of the question now.

If anyone up that way could put us up for Saturday night, it would be greatly appreciated as Linda wouldn't have to tacke possibly icy roads at night.

Thanks also to the Jolly Brewers, and the customers round the other side of the bar, for being so folk-friendly - they even put in a special request for the clog dancers to perform a set for them. And sent the birthday girl round to sing for us!
