Saw them at the Capt. Cook Maritime Music Festival in 2001. If you don't know of them, they are well worth seeing.....and if you do know of them, well, they are still well worth seeing :-).

I was listening to Prevailing Winds just this morning and it's really good. I don't suppose you ever get up to Yorkshire?

Listening to Egolshayle Ringers I was surprised to find it was nothing like the version I'd heard from Pete & Chris Coe. Not just a different tune, but theirs didn't have a chorus at all

Thank you, kind sirs, she said! Although, you don't have to sound so surprised, Red Max.

As it happens, yes, we do get up to Yorkshire on occasions, although that's an awfully big place! We're due to be at Otley FC on 23rd of this month. If you're near enough, we'll see you there.

As to Egloshayle Ringers, there were five different versions of this song, each collected in a different village around Egloshayle! As I think it says in the notes to the CD, the one Tom sings came from Charlie Bate of St. Issey. We think it's the best of them, but then Pete & Chris would probably say the same of theirs!
