Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: John Robinson (aka Cittern) Date: 29 Jan 05 - 08:14 PM I think I've slipped through a worm hole in the fabric of space and time and entered a parallel universe ... Which would make it the second time that's happened today ... just got back from a gig which started with a vote to elect a chairman. The evenings music was "item 6 on the agenda" ... which was the first time I've heard a band introduced on stage with the words "Well now we have item 6 on the agenda". Strange but true. It was Barnsley .... |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Teresa Date: 30 Jan 05 - 03:06 AM I sure miss the benighted ...er ... wondrous, and kind and thoughtful Sir jOhn! Tell him hi from Teresa. How am I to fly from the States to visit the world's only flok/flock club if he is incommunicado? ;) :) Teresa |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 30 Jan 05 - 03:47 AM jOhn is one man who can't be silenced. Keep your ear to the ground. He'll be back! |

Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Teresa Date: 03 Feb 05 - 03:53 AM Have fun. It's a bit of a trip from Las Vegas, but I'll be there in spirit, as the old cliche goes. :) Teresa |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Gurney Date: 03 Feb 05 - 04:04 AM I don't believe jOhn is incommunicado. I've read a lot of his posts and I will believe he is incoherant, intoxicated, incorrigable, indefagitable, and several other places I won't mention. Where is communicado anyway? |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Teresa Date: 03 Feb 05 - 04:11 AM Well, he wasn't incommunicado till a few days ago, at least as far as posting on Mudcat. I guess Communicado is the place where the ruthless get their ruth, the uncouth get their couth, and the untoward ... well, never mind. :) Teresa |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Teresa Date: 04 Feb 05 - 02:30 AM So how'd it go? :) Teresa |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Paco Rabanne Date: 04 Feb 05 - 03:46 AM Although few in number, we were entertained with a new original song from Mr Warton, Love the silver highlights Martin! His Highness Sir JOhn did attend, and after the usual felicitations, he announced that he is "on strike" and will not post here anymore! Time will tell. |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Teresa Date: 05 Feb 05 - 02:48 AM Well, darn it. :( Tell him hi and also tell him about the thread in his honor. :) Teresa |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 05 Feb 05 - 11:48 AM He's keeping it all under his hat. |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Les from Hull Date: 05 Feb 05 - 12:24 PM He knows all about the thread, Teresa. Ted even did him the favour of printing it and stuffing it through his letterbox. He'll be back, I'm sure. |
Subject: RE: HULL Flock CLUB From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 07 Feb 05 - 04:30 AM Saw jOhn yesterday. He is still eating and has a cheerful disposition despite having been banned from 'thread involvment' for two whole days. He has shaved off his beard and looked a little pale from his recent experience but assures me that life goes on. He is overwhelmed at the responce of Mudcat members who are desperately missing him. He is a good man. |
