About a year ago I heard a song TTO "The rain never falls on the dusty Diamantaina". Attempts to obtain the words for it have so far failed.

The first two lines are

"The rain always falls on my rusty Ford Cortina,
Bits fall off, get left behind."


Rich-joy do you currently have contact with the author?

I'm very tempted to say that if we can't get the original author, then perhaps we can do our own version.... :-)

It was written fairly recently by Mark from the North Coast Hinterland Queensland - nad Rich-joy who wants it too - lives nearby.

Mark Gillett is the man - from Mapleton - just one of his many great songs - he sometimes turns up at ABOFOTS ("A Bit of Folk on the Side")in Maleny - but more than that, I dunno ... I'll try to remember to ask him for the lyrics next time I see him ...
