Hi!
I've been looking into podcasting for the last few weeks and I've now got 3 podcasts up online. If you have broadband and fancy having a go and then giving me some feedback, that would be great. (You don't need an iPod! Just a computer that will play mp3's)
Visit the download the file, have your instrument handy and play along! There's one flute tune and two pipe tunes, but they are written to be able to play on any instrument, the third podcast has two versions, one in A and one in D. More on the way, so keep a look out! I'll keep posting up as I do them.
:-)
Vicki

Ooh! Technology! iPods! Hurrah. How does one podcast? I am too busy listening to mine to work out how to do anything else with them.

Er, which process so you mean? The blue website I build in Dreamweaver and upload, but that's probably not what you meant.

The Smallpiper blogger site, is just a normal blog, the first thing I put in an entry is a straight a href tag leading to an mp3 file which is stored in my webspace.

Is that what you meant?

One of the links in my last post disappered (just noticed, doh!)
I have a site explaining it all -Click here!

Sorry about that!
:-)

Vicki:

I see -- it really has nothing to do with having an iPod or not, it is more using the word "pod" to imply something similar to one of the seed-shells that when they open up send out their contents on the wind all over the map, I guess. I couldn't figure out what my iPod would have to do with it!! :D Thanks for clarifying the concept.

No probs!
It got it's name from the iPod though. On a mac when you plug your iPod in and turn on iTunes and the podcast rss feedreader software the podcasts can automatically download into your iPod and your ready to listen to it with the minium of effort. But, you don't have to have an iPod to listen.

I've been trying to describe this whole podcasting thing and I've been doing it so badly! There are a couple of different ideas that have been grouped together and once you know what it is, it's easy, but I've just been having a total nightmare trying to explain it all! Sorry about that! >sigh<
:)
