Subject: BARROW 22/02/05 From: Cod Fiddler Date: 21 Feb 05 - 02:27 PM I'm coming over tomorrow night for another fix. However, this time I'll be bringing two Italians, a Portuguese and and Spaniard, all keen to sample the delights of British tradition. It would be great to have a big turn out and show them why a visit Six Bells on a tuesday night should be in the Lonely Planet Guide. Richard. |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 21 Feb 05 - 02:54 PM Come one, come all. Naturally we south banker europhiles will be pleased to welcome friends from mainland Europe. Tell them to bring a selection of their local delicacies - good virgin olive oil, some nice Parma ham etc. Will they be playing/singing or just looking? I know we are the best session around and they will be blown away by our virtuosity, but some Latin music will be most acceptable - where does he get this bullshit? SHUT UP, BLOKE! oh, all right.... |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: MudGuard Date: 21 Feb 05 - 02:56 PM Why ask for olive oil? Won't a good virgin do without the oil? SCNR ;-) |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: GUEST,randy BLOKE Date: 21 Feb 05 - 04:02 PM What about a good virgin and some olive oil? |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 21 Feb 05 - 06:00 PM Stop the virgin/olive oil jokes, Mr Mud Guard, or I'll start on about Pumpernickel, Schwarzwaelderkirschtorte, Eisbein mit Kartoffelpuree and Frikadellen! - Du Frikadelle am Band!! Tschuess, bis dann |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: MudGuard Date: 21 Feb 05 - 06:10 PM I did not make any joke in this thread ;-) Pumpernickel? Not Bavarian, has nothing to do with me. Schwarzwälderkirschtorte? Not Bavarian, has nothing to do with me. Eisbein mit Kartoffelpuree? Not Bavarian, has nothing to do with me. Frikadellen? Not Bavarian, has nothing to do with me. cu, MudGuard |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: Cod Fiddler Date: 22 Feb 05 - 06:04 AM I think they'll just be looking but you never know. One of the Italians was a classical pianist before devoting her life to the study of compost (not kidding). The other Italian has spent time in Ireland and loves the tune Spancill Hill. Perhaps they can be persuaded - "ve have vays of making you sing". |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 22 Feb 05 - 11:45 AM Na denn, Mr Mud Guard - dann gibt's mindestens Leberkäs! Kannsja wohl nit sagen, dat es nit Bayerisch ist!? Met'nem schönen Maß vom Hofbräuhaus? Mir läufts Wasser aus dem Mund, wenn ich dran denke.... |
Subject: RE: BARROW 22/02/05 From: GUEST,KJ Date: 22 Feb 05 - 12:51 PM We shall be partaking of the wonderful delights on offer, see you later! |
