Rachel Bissex passed away Sunday following a battle with breast cancer. She was 48 years old and leaves a husband and three children.

Rachel was a popular singer-songwriter in Burlington, VT with five CD's to her credit. She was also the founder of the Burlington Coffeehouse.

It saddens me to hear of the loss of a wonderful, productive, songwriter and performer. She was a pleasure to see and here and came to the DC and Baltimore area fairly regularly.
