The FyldeFolkForum - is expanding nicely.

I received an email re. Listening to Radio on the Internet and thought it was another good idea for a new forum, so I've entered some information on starting up plus a few links eg Radio Lancashire's Drift Folk Programme and Mike Hardings Radio two show.

If anyone know of any good Radio shows (Folk Related) that can be received on the internet can they let me have the details or post them to the FyldeFolkForum - Folking Around -Internet Radio section.

many thanks

PB

Frank Hennessey has a two hour folk programme "Celtic Heartbeat" (NOT restricted to 'Celtic' music) on BBC Radio Wales on Saturdays - can be heard via the Beeb's website.

All the best,
Andrew

I believe there is a Mudcat Permathread on US folk stations.

Also there is a thread about Online Concerts (video) streamed and/or archived online.

Penny, the information here should keep you busy for a while. Many of the US and Canadian Internet stations play a lot of music from the UK and Ireland.

One of the best that I have found is the Acoustic Stage, plays quite a variety of music from v. trad to folk rock, (including the Laughing Chairs
