Just heard a cut from Jerry Douglas's new CD "lookout for Hope". It was Maura O'Connell singing a song called "Footsteps Fall" by a man named Boo Hewerdine. It is a wonderfully woeful song. Who's Boo?

Thanks Anahata. I did "Google", but I figured some 'Catters would know some first hand info having seen or heard him.

Can't get the clickie to work. The only thing I really know about Boo is that he used to accompany Edi Reader, and was backing her again in the lineup in a clip I saw from Celtic Connections last month on TV. Here's some more info I dug out Boo

One evening as I rambled among the sage and thyme I overheard a young man ask 'who's Boo Hewardine?'

Funny you should mention Boo.

H e played with a much under-rated indie band called The Bible in the early 90s, toured as a trio with Eddi Reader and Clive Gregson, is a stupendously good songwriter for others and is now an excellent solo performer.

And I shall be interviewing him for songwriters' site Songstuff.com in the not too distant future. If you have any questions you'd like me to ask you have about 24 hours to get them to me. (The one in the thread title might be a bit easy for him, though)

Gee, Beast, I don't know enough to ask questions. Thanks for the offer, though.
