Most of us have never heard of Rainford, but then you may not have heard of St Albans which is 3 miles off Junction 6 of the M1

Then M1 is the big road that runs from |Leeds to London.

the M6 joins it at the end of the cobbled stretch;-}

Breezy, Rainford is just off the A580 not very far from St Helens.
(Tap in Rainford on MultiMap). When you get to the end of the cobbled stretch turn left and the Wooden Horse Folk Club is just past the third gas lamp on your right!! :-)

London??? Yes I think I've heard of it - big place down south somewhere.

Rainford - Come up the M6 on to the cobbled bit dodging the horse muck and turn off at junction 26 on to the M58. Go along there to Junction 3 and turn left to St Helens. At the next roundabout by the Wheatsheaf pub turn left following the signs to Rainford Junction station. The pub is a big stone place next to the station.
Beware of low flying rugby balls and if anybody asks who you support then say Whitehaven - if you tell them St Helens then they're bound be a Wigan supporter and there'll be trouble!
