Subject: ?Good source for Mandolins in NYC?? From: GUEST,Fullerton Date: 26 Apr 05 - 05:33 AM My freind Sue is visiting New York from England in a couple of weeks. Manhattan to be precise. Her partner has promised to buy her a new mandolin as a very practically kind of souvenir. I'm sure some catters over there would be good enough to suggest a good source of good mandolins within reasonable distance of New York. Many thanks to any one who helps in this matter. Fullerton. |

Subject: RE: ?Good source for Mandolins in NYC?? From: KateG Date: 26 Apr 05 - 10:38 AM I'll second Mandolin Brothers. That's where my husband got his very nice 1919 Gibson A. A mind-bending selection of mandolins and guitars, and best of all, they are very relaxed about letting you try before you buy. Prices are on the high side of competitive, but the selection is so wide, and the opportunity to compare instruments is priceless. Let's face it, even though instruments of the same make, model and age are supposed to sound alike, they don't. Each one has its individual voice, and it's great to be able to pick out the one that makes your own heart sing. Usual disclaimers apply -- no financial ties, just a happy customer. |
