Tonight (Apr. 27) at 7 p.m. local Irish time (2 p.m. Mudcat?) the Irish radio station RTE Radio 1 is broadcasting a 45 min. doumentary on comic songs in the Irish tradition, featuring, Brian O'Rourke, Con O'Drisceoil, Sean Mone and Tim Lyons. Produced by Paula Carroll who, apart from being Brian O'Rourke's wife, is also a very fine singer, this should be worth hearing.

Has anyone got the full lyrics for the songs about the "Dog" and the "Binder Twine" mentioned in this Doc?

The "Binder Twine" is by Michael Marrinan - I might be able to dig up a set. The dog was one of Con O'Drisceoil's - and I know I don't have a set.

As far as I recall, Paula intended broadcasting the session itself separately from the documentary - which had samples interspersed though it. I'll check what happened.
