It's over 25 years since I first heard the line "I'll substantiate the rumour that the English sense of humour is dryer than the Texas sand". I have finally discovered the title "London Homesick Blues" and have just learned the song. Almost 40 years ago I heard the line "Now the bull cook's name was Blind River Joe". Same story, just found the songtitle, "The Black Fly Song". I'm currently trying to absorb that one into my diminishing brain box. Which song did you put on the long finger?

My father taught me a short little song about guinea pigs.. I'm STILL trying to find its origins 30 years later... not bad seeing as I'm only 40!
