I said I would start a new thread about the above.

Everyone (except for Dead Horse and Kay) seems keen to go SATURDAYS! - no getting up in the morning, whoopee.

All the kids in the village go to the other pub, so we ought not to have the usual Saturday night syndrome.

However, at the present rate of progress all my Saturdays are occupied until July 16, and I'm not sure if that clashes with Elsie's (near Tonbridge-ish) so pending further information, start pencilling in Sat July 23.

The places that have me pre-empted in the meantime (other weekends) are: -

Sat May 21 - too soon
Sat May 28 - lecturing all day
Sat Jun 4 - probably Pigs Ear Fest, Mark Beech
Sat Jun 11 - Greyhound weekender, Maidstone
Sat Jun 18 - Knockholt - whoopee!
Sat Jun 25 - Probably Leigh
Sat Jul 2 - 3 Mariners folk ale for RNIB
Sat Jul 9 - being paid to run my PA rig

Going 3rd Sats will avoid Sidmouth in July, and Broadstairs in August, and Tenterden in September. So, depending on Elsie's, it looks a bit like a plan is coming together!

Bu**er, July 23rd is Warwick fest, but there may not be many others in this area who are going to that one. According to my fest list the only other significant one is Trowbridge that weekend.

Should be able to get along during the Winter months though. Good luck Richard!

I have now checked with Elsies who are running 28 May, 18 June, 16 July and 13 Aug (etc) so the re-constituted Stoke Saturday song'n'session will run third saturdays, starting July 23

Saturday's a great idea. A very occasional extended version, say noon till whenever, might work well too.

I think the current sessions from about 8 till Peninsula closing time are quite extended enough!
