Helge, the lryics for the song were posted a couple years back. To find them go to the lyric/thread search part at the top of the page and type in For What was Gained and several links should pop right up. You're correct, it was on Eric Andersen's Avalanche album.

The song wasn't put in the DT that I can find. It is however on a forum post from Dec 8, 2003 by campfire. I have e-mailed the lyrics to Helge.

Thanks, Brucie. I had remembered typing in the words in the previous thread from the Eric Andersen songbook I had. Not being at home, I didn't have access to the book to put it in again.
