The Artists appearing and offering their services free are

Shanty Jack

Hissyfit

It will be held at
Faldingworth Village Hall
Faldingworth
Near Market Rasen
Lincolnshire

All proceeds will go to Diving Diseases Research Centre as requested by Rosemary Tawney.

Entrance fee £5
Doors open 7:45pm for a start of 8:15pm until 11:00 - 11:15pm
Bring your own drinks and food and candles.

The evening will have a Cyril Tawny feel to it, but that does not mean that all the songs will be from songs written by Cyril.

I look forward to seeing lots of people for this event.

If you can't park in the Village Hall, then 20 yards away on the opposite side of the road is the school car park. Please leave disability parking spaces free for people who need them.

Argh - I've only just managed to get back on to Mudcat as the server's been acting up this week, and I only wish I'd found out about this event sooner as I'd gladly have made the long trip across to MR to contribute some Tawney songs to the evening. Cyril was a good mate and I have fond memories of meeting and chatting. I still can't believe he's gone....
But I hope the night goes well, Villan - and do PM me if any further ones are planned!

I would like to thank everybody that came to the event last night.
The artists did me proud, so I would like to offer them a very special thankyou for giving up their time to make it such a lovely evening.
I am just about to send the cheque (£160)to Rosemary!!!!!!

I thought the accoustics were excellent in the hall, which really makes me enthusiastic about running the club at Faldingworth.

I don't know what people thought about not having a bar and bringing their own. I personnally thought that it helped with the sound (not so noisy).

Napper and Bliss at Gainsborough FC next Friday - looking forward to that.

And so onto the next night at Market Rasen Folk Club - Friday June the 17th with

Well done Les...The hall is great and it's no hardship bringing our own food/drink....some even had a veritable feast!!!! What a great evening too and to raise that money makes it even more valuable. Every bit helps!
