Subject: RE: For Israeli Members 88FM NOW! From: Le Scaramouche Date: 19 Jun 05 - 05:38 PM Thank you. I couldn't find it through their website. 88 FM is an excellent and eclectic station. Why, just the other day they played Gounod in between rock and pop! |

Subject: RE: For Israeli Members 88FM NOW! From: Jack The Lad Date: 27 Jun 05 - 11:03 AM Who was broadcasting this good stuff? What time? Is it every week, or a one off? Yes 88 does have the best music on the air. There is one one other programme, however , which plays really good music- Kol HaGalil HaElyon- 105.3- fellow by the name of Menachem has a programme called Shomim Olam- mainly world music- Africa- India- Sweden- etc, but often does a British or American show- Eliza Carthy and Earl Scruggs etc. It is on Sundays at 14.00 hrs after the news- but he is taking a break till September 4th. You can listen to Hober until then! It is a local station reaching Upper Galilee as far as Amiad- and most of the Golan. Happy listening. Jack The Lad |
Subject: RE: For Israeli Members 88FM NOW! From: Le Scaramouche Date: 27 Jun 05 - 11:12 AM It runs from Sunday to Thursday, 23-00:01-00. They have interesting stuff all day, very eclectic, but this show is terrific. Of course on Saturday it's their '60s-'70s programming, which is always excelent. I can't get Kol HaGalil HaElyon, lousy hills interferring with reception. Am just beyond Amiad. |
