I don't believe that anyone has done transcriptions of Noah Lewis' solos but I'm not really sure you could write them down anyway. Get the Amazing SLowdowner or some other software that can slow down music (and/or alter pitch) and have a go -- his stuff is all reissued, look for Cannon's Jug Stompers. I don't know of any other records that he played on. Play it from down in Dixie!!

I made a trip over to western Tennessee to look for traces of Noah Lewis. I visited Ashport where the remains of the community at Jim Fullen's Road and TN 19 are a store and a cluster of cotton production buildings. I believe that "Minglewood" is a mis-spelling of Mengelwood which was where Dummy Line Road crosses TN 104 about 6 miles west of Dyersburg. There is only a cluster of houses there now. Noah Lewis died in Ripley in either 1937 or 1961. Have to clear that up. He was reportedly born in Henning (Alex Haley's boyhood home)in
1895. There are several Lewises in the ph book. I'm looking for a relative. A quite distinct harmonica style jumps out at you from the 65+ year old recordings he made with Gus Cannon, Yank Rachel, Sleepy John Estes and others. If Henning acknowledges Alex Haley maybe they will do likewise for Mr. Lewis. "Play it Mr. Lewis, play, play!"
