I agree. If this article is correct this man is living off the very people that he incites violence against. He's obviously not got a problem going back to his own country and so shouldn't be a candidate for political asylum.

Why would our 'masters' allow him back into the country if they have evidence of his activities? I don't think that having family in the UK should be an automatic in here. By his behaviour he has surrendered any rights that him might have had to remain in residence in the UK.

I can't get into the Sun link so am unsure what this is all about. That said, regardless of what a person may (or may not) be, I don't see that I'd want to be witholding medical help although perhaps there are questionmarks over NHS entitlement.

As for the Sun, Carol. It is our gutter press, it's garbage. It's very popular though and people do take notice of it. IIRC they even managed to start a campaign (was it something like publicisng name and address?) that lead to a Swiss football referree getting death threats over a decision involving England during a match such is the mentality of some of thier readership.

I think that jOhn was probably quoting the Sun headline - it's the sort of language that paper has been known to use to stir up their readers.

It's not a paper that I would read but they do occasionaly get their information right. I don't think the problem here is the man's etnic background. It's the fact that, whilst he takes advantage of the benefits available in the UK he is trying to foment hatred among Muslims for the non-Muslim inhabitants of the UK and, it seems, approved of the London bombings.

IMO this is both hypocritical and obscene.

John from Hull has changed over time. The first being noticable with the spate of rubbish, mistyped threads and having a status as the clown over here. It sort of made him into something new.

But I saw one in another thread recently I think a guest would have been jumped on for but LH made light of on the potentialy racist comments.

In some circles, it seems the term "darkie" has become a fairly generic slur encompassing any skin pigmentation of deeper shade than fish-belly white. If you disagree with someone, in this way-of-thinking, it is fair game to disparage any aspect about them, even if you risk insulting other innocent people.

Of course in other circles, the whole skin-tone issue is irrelevant, as far as respect for a nationality or individual.

I know which circles I prefer to travel in.

The Sun is somewhat different from the Enquirer in that it takes news items with a basis of truth and sensationalises them to attract the particular brand of reader that they aim for. It skims close enough to the truth to avoid major legal problems and uses, in the main, 'one syllable words' in order that the chosen audience can follow the line of print. It is not above using inflammatory headlines to sell the rag and, with a certain proportion of the population, this works.

I would like to see the ACTUAL headline, from the paper, for this particular article.

I avoided this thread until now because of its name.

But all along I thought I assumed 'mad darkie' was the screen name for a 'Catter [maybe one who was involved in Mummery blackening up or cork on skin tradition]..

So I thought that it was small of me not to extend best wishes to a Catter who was undergoing a heart operation just because I didn't approve of his [to me, and others here I see] very offensive name.

It therefore came as a suprise to learn that the person referred to by this thread title isn't even a 'Catter. And it turns out that 'mad darkie' is a name given to him by others.

Well that should teach me.

What- I'm not quite sure of. But it'll come to me I'm sure.
