Subject: RE: info on 'Two Little Orphans' From: Fiolar Date: 13 Aug 05 - 06:12 AM It was also recorded by Bridie Gallagher. The opening lines are: "Two Little Orphans, A boy and a girl sat by an old church door. The little girl's feet were as brown as the curls, That fell on the dress that she wore." |
Subject: RE: info on 'Two Little Orphans' From: GUEST Date: 05 Nov 13 - 09:29 AM I first heard this song in scotland in 1978 when I lived there as a little girl. I can't remember the name of the artist but he also had a song called "old shep" on the albulm. I've been looking at different lyrics but they are all a little off from the song that I know. I suppose that's common for older folk songs. |
