Sorry, I don't know if you are anywhere near Heflin, but my friend is working at a public radio station there which has a live hoot and bbq on Saturday nights...sometimes just local folks, other times someone comes in from elsewhere. If you call, ask to speak to Roger Curtis and tell him kat from the Mudcat said he'd fill ya in...he, or some of the others there, are bound to know of some good music contacts.

One consolation, you are close to Eufala, where they make some of the best moonshine known to man...

apart from that, google the Red Mountain White Trash, they're based in Birmingham, but they know where it's at...

He's (she's?) on the other side of the state from Eufala. I'm about 20 miles north of Eufala, which is on the far eastern side of the state. Tuscaloosa is southwest of Montgomery, about 40 miles east of Mississippi (as the crow flies).

So where can people get some of this best moonshine known to man, Chance?

CarolC, way, way off topic here, but - would be interested in any info you could provide, personally or otherwise, on how to go about obtaining dual Canadian/USA citizenship, as I know from something somewhere you posted that you were going through the process. Best wishes.

Here's a question that just occurred to me after reading Guest 23 Aug 05 - 11:04 PM's post:

How can CarolC personally provide information to Guest if Guest is truly a Guest unless Carol knows who Guest truly is.

If personal information is provided on this public forum, does that mean that it is "personally provided" instead of "otherwise"?

And who is Guest really?

Guest only knows and maybe others do too, but I'm certainly out of that loop...

Guest, 23 Aug 05 - 11:04 PM, there are several ways one can get Canadian citizenship. In my case, the citizenship comes with having a Canadian husband. I will be eligible for Canadian citizenship when my husband and I have been married for three years. I don't know yet whether or not I have to be living in Canada in order for citizenship to be granted me. My husband is working on getting US citizenship as well, and that process is the one we are making our priority right now.

Here is the government site for Canadian immigration. This site has information about all of the different ways to get citizenship...
