John - I'll try and record the Radio Lanc's programmes - and get it right this time ;-)

Unfortunately the first of the O/B for the Radio Lancashire Blue bus from the Steamer, Fleetwood, is on the 14th Oct so I can't try and plug it there doh! But the reputation Julie is building up in the area will no doubt fill the club! I'll also get them to announce it at The Hole in One tomorrow night as several of there members saw her at The Falcon.

Graham, if you get chance put an ad on the Fylde Folk Forum (if you haven't already) if not I'll do a cut and paste from this one.

If we're free I'll email you to save us a couple (or more) seats.

Take care

PB

Hi John,

We did the jingles for the BBC Radio Lancashire Blue Bus, an I.T. equipped bus that tours Lancashire explaining about computers etc. to the general public:-

Blue Bus details,

and as you know we've being doing the A.R.C. collections at The Steamer for the last 3 years:

Penny Black "Make Music Live" for ARC (Arthritis Research Campaign)

As the Blue bus is at The Steamer a couple of times in October and again in November, they've asked us to do the Fridays they're there in addition to the regular Tuesdays (14/21 Oct & 4/11 Nov)

During the day they link back to the studio with interviews etc..

reet exciting ;-)

Pete

Just back from Blackburn having done a pre-record for BBC Radio Lancashire's "The Drift".

Looks like three songs live in the studio and one track from the album - plus chat with presenter/producer Phil Brown.

Graham will be happy to learn that there are one or two mentions of the Gregson Lane Folk Club gig on Thursday 13th October !!

The show will be broadcast this Thursday 6th October at 8pm and repeated on Sunday 9th October 2005 at 9pm.

Thanks PB - we're making up a "best of the radio sessions" collection at the moment - for our own archives initially but maybe for other uses if the original programmes give us permission - so that will come in very handy. Thank you.

Hope Graham was happy with the number of times the Gregson FC gig got a mention (did we say it was on Thursday 13th October ?) :-)

Thanks Sue - I must admit I wondered how many folkies would hear it - assumed that they would be focused on the song competition!

Just had a call from a Lincs record shop this afternoon - someone walked into their shop and asked if they stocked the CD by the girl who was on the radio last night! Now that's what I call positive feedback!!

Yes John - I think Phil mentioned it was on the 13th October - but If anyone missed it, the show (The Drift)is repeated on Sunday..

Only recorded Julie's bit, which I'll send to you.

All the best for the 13th October, I envy those lucky people who will be there, whilst I'm stuck at rehearsals (unless Ian's voice goes or Trev breaks a string - are you reading this Trev? -hint hint!)

Still buzzing from last night's gig at Gregson Lane FC. What a great club! We were grateful for so much support, it is always easier to play to a full room, so thank you to everyone who turned up and contributed to such a wonderful atmosphere.

Really enjoyable two sets from 'Smithereen' and an excellent house PA.

Thanks to Graham and the other organisers for running one of the best clubs we've been to.
