Hello American cousins.
My partner (Barbara) is popping over to visit friends in early October, She will be bringing her fiddle and would like to know what happens musically in that neck of the woods?
Any pointers?
Much appreciated in advance
Ralph Jordan (Member, but strangely cookieless at the moment)

Ralph, I don't have first hand knowledge of the Louisville music scene, but if you go to www.fqms.com which is a music store's site, they can give you info. I've been to their store a couple of times, they are friendly people and deeply involved in the local music scene there.

If you're up for a short drive (100 miles or so - short by American standards) there's a session and a couple of open mic nights in Bloomington, Indiana. If you think you'd be interested, send me a PM and I'll give you the email address of someone who can provide details.

Bruce

GUEST: There's usually something going on... ceol, old-time, bluegrass. Here's a link to a (mostly) KY Irish Trad listserve that posts happenings in the region:

October is beautiful here.
