Subject: McPeakes recordings From: greg stephens Date: 17 Oct 05 - 01:53 PM The wear and tear of time and lending things to people has reduced my McPeake recordings to nearly zero. I have a great fondness for the "Slieve Gallon Braes" and "Verdant Braes of Skreen" type of thing. Can anyone advise on what CD reissues might currently be available? |

Subject: RE: McPeakes recordings From: Barry T Date: 18 Oct 05 - 01:09 AM Speaking of the McPeakes, I've been thirsting for the tune (set) list from a CD produced by the McPeake School. It has the ubiquitous title 'The Best of Irish Traditional Music' and the track titles include... 1. Merry Blacksmith 2. Castle of Dromore 3. Queen of the Rushes 4. Tripping up the Stairs 5. Southwind 6. Maid Behind the Bar 7. Quaker 8. Kesh Jig 9. Heoge Row 10. Enchanted Lady 11. Ships in Full Sail 12. Down the Broom It's distributed in Canada by St. Clair Records. I sent a message to the School requesting the tune list, but I never received a reply. :-( |
