Plus: Nelson & Foudroyant exhibition Hosted by costumed characters of Nelson's Time (repeated Sunday 10.00am plus sea-songs and shanties with Derek Gifford & Red Duster - 1pm till 2.pm) ---oo--- Sunday 23rd Daytime Events North Euston Htl - Victoria Lounge - 12.30pm onwards Compere Dave Cooper Guests Stanley Accrington, Shellback Chorus, The Ian Gartside Band and surprise guests. FREE ADMISSION Steamer Hotel - 12.30pm onwards Comperes Spitting on a Roast Guests Penny Black, Stanley Accrington, Shellback Chorus and surprise guests. Subject: RE: UK-Trafalgar Folk W/end 22/23 Oct '05 From: Blowzabella Date: 18 Oct 05 - 03:28 AM And for all you people further south, New Scorpion Band are presenting their two hour show 'Bold Nelson's Praise' in Margate (at the Theatre Royal) on Friday 21st, in Dorchester (at the Museum) on the 22nd and in London (at Cecil Sharp House) on the 23rd. It's a fantastic show, with the songs and tunes woven together with actual accounts from and descriptions of the battle - and the Scorps usual astonishing array of 30-odd acoustic instruments. |
