Does anyone happen to know someone who can teach intermediate level fingerpicking/ acoustic guitar, adventurous stuff, withing reach of Herts/N.London?

The best I know of is David Reay, who will teach whatever style is rquired, without the pupil having to unlearn and start from scratch.

Very reasonable fees too, but he may be too far away for you as he is based in Maidstone, Kent.

Thanks guys! Not been to many sessions lately due to much teaching down in central London, but will be venturing out again in Dec.
There is so much guitar instruction around on DVD & paper, but nothing beats being shown in real life and also getting someone to tell you where and why you are making bad bad finger fluffings noises and squeak.
