lost the legion so on Sundays we do the pub quiz then av a sing

Dave Gibb sent me his CD 'Looking Better' to see if I'd book him for the Waltham Abbey Folk Club. Unfortunately, we were already booked for the year, but I really enjoyed the CD - excellent lyrics, so I've invited him to come to sunny Stanstead Abbotts, near Hertford to do a House Concert on Saturday 18th March 2006.

We'll start with a two course supper and wine and all sit back and listen to Dave. Tickets will be £10 each, so book yours now!

When I performed at the Chapleton Folk Club Dave did a floor spot. He was very engaging, nice guitar work and good songs. I he would provide an enjoyable evening of entertainment.

Dave is a really nice, warm-hearted guy who we met when we were both working at a festival in Scotland. We usually meet up with him now when we're working up there.

Enjoyed his first CD more than his second, but the style isn't really our cup of tea, so don't let that put you off! He comes over really well live, with good voice and guitar work, and a lovely sense of humour.

Worth booking at least once, and then you can decide for yourself whether or not to ask him back.
