Subject: RE: Llantrisant FC goes peripatetic From: Splott Man Date: 20 Dec 05 - 11:09 AM The Sunday afternoon tour was a resounding success. Well received everywhere. Finishing at Pat Spoons gaff for some nosh. So far we've raised around £290 for Holme Towers Hospice. The visit to the Gower was a success too, with more of our members there than were at the Folk Club the previous Wednesday! We were regailed with carols by Baggyrinkle in full Victorian gear, then a rapper dance, and a Mummer's play from the Swansea valley. The evening ended with a ceilidh with 5 Bar Gate providing the music, ably called by Keith Lascelles. The next tour is on New Year's Eve in the Aberdare area. We're trying to link it with the Nos Galan races, but if there's no official link, the Lords of Misrule will prevail. Oh what fun we do have! Happy Christmas! Splott Man |
Subject: RE: Llantrisant FC goes peripatetic From: GUEST,Pavane in Amsterdam Date: 20 Dec 05 - 12:54 PM Hey, I never expected to see 5 Bar Gate mentioned here again - that was originally MY band and I named it. Glad to see Keith is still using the name (I think). |
Subject: RE: Llantrisant FC goes peripatetic From: Geoff the Duck Date: 20 Dec 05 - 08:07 PM I am just imagining the sound of Pat Spoons saying the words "Peri-pa-tetick" I can almost hear the sounds... Quack! Geoff. |
