Don't forget the Session at the Bear House
on Friday; all welcome.
We have an upstairs room (Non- smoking) and the pub is having a mini beer festival.
The pub is 5 minutes from Victoria station and the Tram stop.
Kick-off 8:30pm.
If you want to make a long-weekend of it, there are sessions at the Jolly Angler on Thursday and Saturday nights the Beech in Chorlton on Monday and the Peveril of the Peak on Tuesday night.
We played at the Peveril last Tuesday and intend to carry on but in the back room where the session used to de many many moons ago (better acoustics and less smoke).

See you on Friday

Hi PP,

What's the plan for Friday night? Is it a regular session or just a one-off for the beer festival?

I've not been to the Tuesday session at the Pev for yonks, I'll do my best to get there sometime soon.

Thanks for posting this.

Cheers,

John

Thanks Pied Piper,

I think I am confusing people now. Is your pub session:

'Don't forget the Session at the Bear House
on Friday; all welcome'

at the Bear House as you have clearly written or is it at the Marble Arch, home of the best beer in the galaxy?

In moderation, It's primarily intended an instrumental session were lots of people can play together but as long as it doesn't turn into a "Sing around" your welcome.

Despite the impression some people have of me, I do actually sing songs but there generally rather intense Dylan, Neil Young and Cohen songs so I tend not to inflict them on "unprepared" company.

Actually he's got quite a sense of humour. Saw in concert a couple o times many moons ago. Once at the King's Hall, Belle Vue. Now you'd need a sense of humour to play there!

Hi VIN your right there, he's a great live entertainer and I think due to his present
Financial problems he may have to go back on tour.

Good luck with this one - busy in Sheffield at the moment but you were most welcoming when I made it across last year - even getting over your disappointment of only getting a mere singer.
